Jonathan K. Driggs, Attorney at Law, has eleven
years of experience focused exclusively on the
practice of employment law. During this time he
has advised, represented and conducted legal
seminars for employers of almost every size and
industry-type throughout the United States. In
addition to his private practice, he is counsel
for Workforce Solutions, Inc., a Professional
Employer Organization. Jonathan graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University in 1992 and became a member of the Utah State Bar Association. Upon graduation, he worked for the Anti-Discrimination Division of the Utah Labor Commission (working under the direct control and authority of the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) investigating, mediating and deciding claims of employment discrimination. While with the Labor Commission/EEOC Jonathan worked on literally hundreds of cases involving allegations of gender (including sexual harassment), race, color, national origin, religion and disability discrimination. In addition, Jonathan served as the case manager for the Anti-Discrimination Division, supervising a staff of seven investigators, directing their investigative processes and reviewing their findings for compliance with the law and EEOC regulations.
After three years "in the trenches" at the Labor Commission/EEOC, Jonathan was convinced that there was much more that employers could do to avoid disputes with their employees, as well as to more effectively manage high-risk employment situations. As a result, Jonathan left the Labor Commission/EEOC to advise employers full-time on preventing and resolving employment-related disputes.
As a result of his diverse experience with employment law (attorney, government EEO investigator, human resource consultant, dispute mediator, etc.), Jonathan is known for his balanced, "big-picture" approach that allows him to keep his client's business objectives in mind while creating legally compliant solutions.
As a popular seminar presenter and speaker, Jonathan consistently receives the highest marks for his ability to translate "legalese" into clear, concise explanations-and for his relaxed, humor-filled presentation style.
In addition to his legal practice, Jonathan serves as a volunteer mediator for the Labor Commission/EEOC, helping employees and employers resolve discrimination and wage complaints through the mediation process.
